Special Months

I think special holiday months are created just because people want a reason to do things.  Kind of like if something happened, "Oh the Presidents dead, let's take a week off of school." I'm not a fan of these random "National Month/Day" things.  Except some are funny. For example, March 14 - the day after my birthday - is National Steak Day.

For the month of May, we should celebrate sandals, donuts, and swimming pools.

This Weekend! Turn up

So basically all I did this weekend was play softball or take naps with Logan.  Friday we had a double header in Summerfield.  We beat them by a bunch the first game, then mercied them the second game.  After the two games, we went to Fricker's with #thecrew
We were there until like 11, knowing we had a tournament the next day.

The tournament went freaking awesome.  The teams we played were Emanuel Christian, Pittsford, and Morenci.  And we beat all of them.  So we won the whole tournament, and got another plaque and pins for our varsity jacket.

Then all day Sunday Logan and I just ate junk food and watched Netflix.  We had to go to the mandatory calf meeting but other than that, it's whatever.

TV Violence

Violence on TV doesn't bother me personally.  But that's only because I have stronger stomach and I'm not sensitive about that kind of stuff.  People say that violent shows are bad influences for kids, so I agree that "violent" shows/movies should be on at a later time.  Not super late, but not middle of the day lunch time.

My favorite show is Supernatural.  Most people would say that's pretty violent.  I guess I would have to agree because there's a lot of shooting and fist-fighting.  And A LOOOTTT of blood. I'd say the appropriate age to start watching this show would be like 13.  It depends how easily you get scared, because there are a lot of "scary" things and they are pretty graphic.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo translates from Spanish into the "5th of May" for all you English folk.  I don't know exactly why we celebrate it. All I remember is that the Mexicans revolted against someone for some war.  It was probably when it ended.

And aparently it's also "National No Homework Day".  And yes, I don't think we should get homework.
