Bloggin!

No, I don't really like blogging. I only blog when Mrs. Chambers tells me to.  I don't know how people can do this regularly.  I don't even read blogs.  So how people do it for money, I don't even know.

EGGS

Tomorrow is National Egg Day, folks! The way I like my eggs are fertilized. Hahaha, just kidding.  Anyways, I don't really like scrambled eggs. But I'll smash an omlette without breaking a sweat.  I also like quiche and deviled eggs.  My dad makes the best quiche with sausage, craisins, spinach, and swiss cheese.  I could eat it everyday.

Special Months

I think special holiday months are created just because people want a reason to do things.  Kind of like if something happened, "Oh the Presidents dead, let's take a week off of school." I'm not a fan of these random "National Month/Day" things.  Except some are funny. For example, March 14 - the day after my birthday - is National Steak Day.

For the month of May, we should celebrate sandals, donuts, and swimming pools.

This Weekend! Turn up

So basically all I did this weekend was play softball or take naps with Logan.  Friday we had a double header in Summerfield.  We beat them by a bunch the first game, then mercied them the second game.  After the two games, we went to Fricker's with #thecrew
We were there until like 11, knowing we had a tournament the next day.

The tournament went freaking awesome.  The teams we played were Emanuel Christian, Pittsford, and Morenci.  And we beat all of them.  So we won the whole tournament, and got another plaque and pins for our varsity jacket.

Then all day Sunday Logan and I just ate junk food and watched Netflix.  We had to go to the mandatory calf meeting but other than that, it's whatever.

TV Violence

Violence on TV doesn't bother me personally.  But that's only because I have stronger stomach and I'm not sensitive about that kind of stuff.  People say that violent shows are bad influences for kids, so I agree that "violent" shows/movies should be on at a later time.  Not super late, but not middle of the day lunch time.

My favorite show is Supernatural.  Most people would say that's pretty violent.  I guess I would have to agree because there's a lot of shooting and fist-fighting.  And A LOOOTTT of blood. I'd say the appropriate age to start watching this show would be like 13.  It depends how easily you get scared, because there are a lot of "scary" things and they are pretty graphic.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo translates from Spanish into the "5th of May" for all you English folk.  I don't know exactly why we celebrate it. All I remember is that the Mexicans revolted against someone for some war.  It was probably when it ended.

And aparently it's also "National No Homework Day".  And yes, I don't think we should get homework.

Prom!

Personally, I think prom is fun.  It's the last chance for seniors to make some memories, and a chance for everyone to get all fancied up.  I do think the expectations though, are expensive and overrated.  Like the price of some dresses, tickets, and hair appointments.  It's basically paying $200 dollars for a 4 hour  amature lap dance and drama. After prom - it kind of depends what's going on to make it worth it.  Sometimes I heard they're awesome, and other times it's not worth going to.  Now, I've never been to prom, I'm a single sophomore, #sweg but in the future I'll probably end up going just to make memories with my friends and not regret it later.

Earth Day

To be honest, Earth Day doesn't mean jack to me.  If you really cared about the environment it wouldn't be just one day to focus on making it better.

At my old school, St. Joseph's Academy, we'd use the whole day as like a celebration and spend it outside planting trees and playing games and stuff.  One thing I remember cleary from those parties is one year we had a massive Earth shaped ball, it was probably 10 feet tall and we had to push it around.  I don't know why, but it was fun as crap.

Spring Break

One day I got my license. I think it was Tuesday.  The test was at 1 in the afternoon and the previous day I had drove around with my dad to the church parking lot and practiced backing in to a parking spot because that's on the first portion of the test.

My instructor's name was Kim, even though he was a guy.  Unisex names are in now I guess.

This Weekend

I couldn't tell if this weekend was super fun or super lame.  Friday I had a terrible practice; I caught the entire time and the gym was super hot.  Then Saturday I went to Country Market to ask for a lane sponsorship for our Rock-N-Bowl fundraiser for softball.  After that, I went to Lexie's house and we hung out for a bit and then went to the Timeflies concert at Adrian College.

We waited in line outside for an hour and it was freezing cold and windy; once we got to the front of the line, they told us they aren't selling tickets anymore! What the heck!

Sunday there was a softball clinic and I worked at that from 4-8.  Let me just say that I won't be able to walk by the time I'm 30.

Cheaters Never Win!

If I saw my friend cheating, I would let it slide.  I wouldn't do anything about it because I've done it before, and I'd probably do it again too.  So why would I snitch on my friend, because if I do, they will on me next time I do.

Photography Composition

This picture is special because it is perfectly timed and is very high quality.  It is probably very hard to capture a picture like this again.  The colors are complimentary and look nice together.  The dingy background makes the tiger pop.

Testing

I think that the state required testing is a bit ridiculous.  Like, I understand where the state/government is coming from, but I don't necessarily enjoy them.  When you think about it, high school just tests your memory, and not your actually knowledge.  So I would say yes, they test too frequently and heavily.  ACT makes sense, and ACT prep makes sense.  Everything else is poopy.

My Top 4

The top 4 things in my life, in no particular order would probably be

-My friends
-My family
-Money
-Sports

I say that because:

-your friends are always there to make you laugh and help you get away from stress in your life.

-your family is going to be there when your friends aren't, in good times - and bad.

-money will help you get things you want, and in my case that'd be things like food, a car, gas, clothes.  I love food.

-sports help provide entertainment, a way to relieve stress and stay fit, and have fun. I like to play softball and basketball, and like to watch football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball. They've always been my escape.

Popular Presidents

The president I think that had the most impact on our country would probably be George Washington.  Because he was the first one, so he started the whole system, really.  Washington led us through the Revolutionary War.  He also had wooden teeth. #sweg

If I had $100,000 to give...

If I had $100,000 to give to a charity of my choice(s), I would give it to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  I chose that charity because the kids having to fight deadly diseases day by day have hard enough lives as it is.  I have friends and family who have to experience this, and it's no fun at all.  The child doesn't get to live their life like any other kid would and to be able to contribute to letting their dream come true - like meeting a famous athlete or singer - or something, would be so cool.

I want out of here!

If I had to be anywhere but here right now, I would choose to be at a beach.  I am missing the warm weather and I miss being tan.  At the beach you can go dirt bike and truck on the and dunes and go swimming in the water.  Or you could just relax and go fishing or lay in the sand.

Bug Out!

If I could be any insect I would be a cockroach.  I would be a cockroach because they can survive practically anything.  Cockroaches can survive nuclear apocolypses and live without their heads for up to 2 weeks - or 2 months - I can't quite remember.  They're pretty gross, I don't like any bugs.  But for the purpose of survival and living, I'd definitely be a cockroach; those suckers are key.  Some people actually keep them as pets, so there's a chance I could go to a nice home or maybe a science lab and live under good care. :b

Final Exam

A tool I've learned to use in Exploring Technology that I might be able to use after graduating high school would probably be Photoshop.  Photoshop is a picture editing program with thousands of options and available editing choices.  I would be able to use this tool anytime & 3 ways I could use it are to edit senior pictures, make an invitation, or fix a ripped edge on an old photo.

One tool I don't think I'd ever use again though would probably be Bloglines/RSS.  I don't have enough time to log on to a site to look at articles when I personally get most of my news and information from sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Vacay

My Christmas vacation was pretty typical I guess.  My sister, Sarah, brother, Matt, and his fiance, Jana, all came home by the weekend right before Christmas.  Over the time I got grounded, and don't get my phone back til exams are over.  UGH.

For gifts I got a bunch of gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods, and then just little things.

Well Mrs. Chambers is pressing time so I guess that's all I'm going to write; peace out girl scout
